久不更新blog是一种罪过 一个月更新一次的blog，我自己都不爱看。 迫于这种压力，我正在火车上用手机写字。当然这样做还有另一个很好的理由：打发无聊的时间。 老驴的片子终于可以下载了，出门之前我拷到了手机里。片子不错，基本体现了老驴的风格，当然还有nm，老黑毛等重量人物的支持。瑕疵肯定有的，但是本着娱乐大众的精神，片子的成就比瑕疵大太多了。显然老驴已经成为相当的名人了，尽管他本人未必习惯。馒头刚火的时候，我和大恐龙在网上聊天说，终于见到了活的一夜成名！ tiger不向下兼容，显然pro tool也没什么办法。pt6上从火线输出视频的办法到7上不好用了，看来只能买价格贵出十倍的mojo，呜呼，幸好不是我花钱:p)

在音频应用上看到的帖子，于是当下来看了一遍，刚开始看的时候感觉那叫一个震撼！开始我以为是动作采集然后贴到3D模型上去，但是看到后来发现根本不是这么回事，很明显所有的音色都来自于电子合成器，而且那些3D模型跟“人”的形象根本就没关系。照例google一下，找到了animusic的网站。原来他们已经出了两张DVD，除了诸如3D max之类常规的软件外，还使用了MIDImotion——一个尚未公开卖的软件，想来这个软件可以根据midi信号生成动作，然后贴到3d模型上。当然如果音乐用真乐器录的是不会有midi信号的，因此音乐中所有的乐器都来自于合成器。如果他们请一个大师来，使用大的采样音色，做出一个管弦乐的东西来也不是很难……

我不是很喜欢这种电子合成音乐，但是，这种想法，以及场面的构建、那些怪模怪样的乐器，真不知道他们怎么想出来的，牛B！

Another trick for a thin-sounding guitar track? Instead of relying on equalization, try feeding the track back into the studio and into an amplifier. Use a room mike (or two) to get of the natural sound back into the guitar and re-record it to another track. This way, you'll have two tracks of guitar to work with - a 'near' one and a 'far' one. I've even done this with drums in order to add some excitement and real acoustic depth.

Toms just seem to mix better with the midrange completely scooped out. I'm talking scoop 'em while you're tracking, as deep as you can go, and sometimes scooping them just as deep again during mixdown can be the right effect. I always wondered why my toms just never sat right until a mentor of mine told me to try it. Works wonders, particularly in rock music. It's that sound you haven't been able to match to commercial stuff in many cases.

The scoop typically should have a rather wide Q and may exist around the 700hZ to 1k region (it can vary...no rules...yada yada yada) and I've also found a nice boost around 2 to 2.5k ish can give that great stick attack without sounding harsh. Maybe a low end adjustment of around 200hZ to 250hZ to add some bottom and you've got a decent starting point on most rack toms.

I like to fatten up heavy rhythm guitar with a 27ms delay if the guitarist i'm recording isn't on the ball enough to make a decent second attempt. I'm no recording wizard, but this seems to make the difference between a weedy sound and goes quite a long way to making a better "wall" of crunch.

Nacho很有意思，而且他的secret也很有意思：

If you're looking for a good present rythm guitar sound, record two or three different tracks playing the same piece in two or three different positions of the fret board. Then eq to isolate the more representative frequency of every track. Mix it hard panned and add some stereo delay if you like it. It sounds great but noone will notice that there's more than one guitar playing.
节奏吉他，分别在不同的把位录制同一段节奏。我觉得这和同时用两只麦克风录意思差不多。不过，不论用多少只麦克风，录一次就够了，而录不同把位的吉他声，却一定要录两次以上——这倒是个收钱的好办法，哈哈

recording版有个置顶的帖子，What's your favorite studio "secret"? 回复好长啊。好在它置顶，这样我就可以慢慢看了，摘几个回复吧。

Got some good sounding but "thin" drum tracks? If your board has a submix section, run a stereo submix of the drum tracks through your favorite stereo compressor, then back into a pair of inputs and mix it under the uncompressed drum tracks. You'll get the big, fat drum vibe, without losing the dynamics and sparkle of the uncompressed tracks.
这办法做人声我就用过，可是做鼓怎么没想到呢，有机会尝试一下，哈哈

Alright, here's another. Ever get a vocalist that can't work with headphones for one reason or another? Bring him/her and the vocal mic into the control room; place the mic equal distance between and in front of the monitors (the mic becomes one of the three "corners" of an equalateral triangle); flip the polarity of one of the two monitors; pan the tracks in the center, and record the vocal tracks. The vocalist can hear the cue mix without being "confined" by cans, and the cue mix disappears from the vocal track because it cancels itself out.
又是kid klash，不过这个办法似乎不太妥啊，怎么能保证到麦克风的声音能完全抵消呢？

Low cut everything as high as you can get away with (sometimes up to 500Hz or more), except kick and bass which you should also low cut, but only to around 30-40Hz.
The Audacity Works，这个倒是很常用，算不上什么秘密。不过他还有一招儿：morph a zippered synth into a kick drum (or vocal or whatnot)?有空去找找看！

ANTILIFE：
1.) When recording rock bands I always make the drummer individually hit all the drums 2-3 times and save each one as its own particular .aiff/.wav file. If they screw up a take by hitting something (usually a snare) wrong I can cut and paste a good hit in there no problem.

2.) Make a submix of the bass guitar and kick drum--compress together fairly heavily maybe 4:1 ratio with a slow attack, fast release. Makes the low end punchier if you mix it in a little bit.

这招我从别的地方学到过……不过应该不是所有的音乐类型都适合

3.) Secretly turn the gain on the amp down on guitarists you are recording to about "7.5" or so.

录吉他把gain关小？这不算什么技巧吧。。。。
4.) Don't compress distorted guitars much--and always set the compressor on peak, not RMS.

5.) Make sure the band has fun during the recording so they perform better and come back for more.

这条儿有点像服务业哈，哈哈，不过说起来录音棚也算是服务类的。。。

6.) Try to work with good musicians... even if you can't charge them as much. Soak the crap musicians for your full price. (see guy above, he has the right idea)

Once I realized I was one of those untalented people I switched to this end of the business so I could receive the cash instead of dispense it.

一天就这么过去了 - [杂记]

        早上8点多醒来，赖在床上看书&胡思乱想，这样到9点多，起床

        洗洗刷牙，洗了头发，简单收拾下屋子，到了十点半了

        上网，赶上几个好友在线，聊天的同时顺便找了找喷墨打印机的消息，准备过几天买一个

        12点了，一边和LP通短信一边准备午饭，到吃完，1点

        上网打cs，照例被郁闷了半个小时。fps相当不稳定，我的显卡跑1.6莫非真不行？

        快两点了，开始给电台的朋友做几个年前没做完的节目版头片花什么的，为了让效果炫一点，我决定把音效做成MIDI采样，这样不但做出来的效果会炫，用MIDI键盘做的时候感觉也很炫

        不紧不慢的做到4点，其间还看了下email，突然想起来没给LP买月票！赶紧穿上衣服冲出去

        坐上公车才想起来没带LP的旧月票，没她的照片，月票也买不成了，顺路改道去乐购，买了一大堆吃的，外加一个炒勺

        回来的时候想，其实那些电台效果也没必要做成采样，直接拖进来稍微处理一下，也挺方便的……

        7点钟坐在这里写blog，心里还想着是继续把没做完的midi采样做完呢，还是找找到底cs的毛病出在哪？

喧闹的时候更容易思考 - [言论]

        寂寞是这样的一种东西，当自己独处的时候它并不会来打扰，而当与一群不相干的人在一起的时候，寂寞就会慢慢的弥漫开，将人整个包围。

        于是独坐一隅，看别人嬉笑怒骂，自己却只做个旁观者。思绪于是就如流水一样划过来，轻轻的簇拥着，拍打着，挥去又来，挥去又来，索性就任其涓涓流淌。寂寞就如顽皮又不敢猖狂的孩子，偷偷的探出一角，而后悄悄地溜出来淘气。虽然周遭越来越喧闹，自己却越来越平静下来，在自我的思绪空间里或静坐，或信步，或纵横驰骋。仿佛有一层无形的薄膜，将自我与周围的喧闹隔离开，不禁微笑了：原来寂寞，也是一种快乐。

        半支烟，一杯酒，人生或喧嚣，或落魄，但有此寂寞之心，世事云烟，又如何不精彩！

侥幸和懒惰要不得！ - [言论]

        LP又要加班到很晚，照例准备晚饭。一般这时候是这样的：菜洗好切了，大米洗干净泡在锅里，然后打游戏上网干闲事，她从单位出来会给我打电话，我就正式开工，等她到家刚好差不多可以吃了。问题是，这次她想吃烧土豆，而我已经准备好做茄子土豆了。

        土豆已经切好了，按说，我应该把还没切的茄子收起来，然后准备一些新的材料，但是我却懒了，独自去上网闲看——我今年回家的火车票没着落呢，正郁闷中。

       呜呼，做菜如此，不过多饿一会，若是做公司如此，外界的环境已经有了变化，而自己还固守着原来的计划不肯变通，恐怕会坐失良机犯下大错。道理虽然简单，可是总会看到有这样的例子，莫非这就是传说的“阴沟里翻船”？也许企业老总们都应该多学学哲学之类的-_-

也当了博客了

        博客刚兴起的时候，我记得我第一次知道是blogcn吧，当时并没有什么兴趣。那时在上大学，脑子里面空空的，虽然高中时候还有写写日记的习惯，大学的时候就没有了，最多在学校的bbs上发发文章，如此而已。在网上写日记？不想尝试，我觉得只有暴露狂和自恋者才会用这种东西。后来大学毕业了，开始做一些实际的工作了，才发现的确可能需要这么个空间，记一些技术笔记、生活感慨和无聊的牢骚之类，并且有一定发布给大家看的必要——起码给朋友或者同行看吧。这种想法一直发展到今天，就有了自己的blog。刚决定做个blog的时候很郁闷，MSN太慢，新浪不给二级域名，blogcn太花哨，几乎决定自己找个空间搭一个自己的blog了，昨天ck4推荐，来了blogbus。

        blogbus是我喜欢的那种简洁的风格，我一向喜欢快捷高效。我还不太习惯一些设置，比如完全抛弃分类而改用tag（为什么不能即分类又使用tag呢？），比如模板自定义不够人性化也不够灵活，比如首页上总觉得少点个人头像啦、个人简介啦公告栏啦之类的，不过，总体来说我喜欢这个风格，这是我留下的最大理由。下一步的计划是考虑是不是加入VIP，就为了移掉那个广告条，或者绑定域名。。。
